Isan Survivor is an NGO (Non Governmental Organization) based in the Phonphisai district of Nong Khai Province. It was devised and set up by Jack Panasri with the dream of creating development in his local village and promoting and preserving the cultural life of Isan people. The main objective of the organization is to provide the community with the opportunity to develop the skill of English in a supportive and pleasant environment, through interacting with our volunteers. We work closely with a number of local schools and adult education centers, also creating English camps and various learning activities, in order to reach out to a wide range of age groups.

After experiencing other organizations Jack just wanted one thing; a personal approach. That's why Isan Survivor is a small scaled project were there is enough personal attention. We take our time to make the volunteers feel at home here, to show them around to get a sense of the Isan culture but above all we want them to have an unforgettable experience.

Besides volunteering at the schools volunteers can participate in a wide range of activities. We stimulate them to participate in local activities to get a better understanding of the Isan culture. Do you want to know what kind of activities we organize, click here to see some of the activities.

Due to the fact that we are a small scaled project, we can keep our fees low. Your money won't go to a big organization based in Europe or the USA, but goes directly to the family, the village and school projects.
